Multiple Thomas Law Offices Lawyers Included on 2023 Kentucky Super Lawyers List

Published on Jan 6, 2023 by Thomas Law Offices.

It was recently announced that three lawyers at Thomas Law Offices—an ever-expanding law firm with offices here in Louisville and in Chicago, Columbia, MO, and Cincinnati, OH—will be included on the 2023 Kentucky Super Lawyers lists. Tad Thomas, our Louisville personal injury firm’s founder, has earned placement on the Kentucky Super Lawyers list for the 12th year in a row as well as on the top 50 list in Kentucky for a third year. Kevin P. Weis was selected for the Super Lawyers List for 2023. Leslie Pescia made it on the 2023 Kentucky Rising Stars list.

Super Lawyers lists are a rating system whereby high-achieving lawyers are recognized by their peers for their contributions to the legal profession. Only the top 5% of all attorneys in the United States in any practice area make it on a Super Lawyers list during their legal career. So, it’s an honor that three personal injury attorneys from our Kentucky law firm would receive such an esteemed honor in the same year.

As for Attorney Tad Thomas, his practice as a personal injury trial lawyer began in 2000 after he graduated from Northern Kentucky University School. He initially worked for the Office of the Kentucky Attorney General handling mostly civil litigation matters before opening his own personal injury law firm in 2011.

In the years since, Tad has gone on to handle various complex civil litigation cases, including medical malpractice, auto accidents, product liability, wrongful death, premises liability, and many other personal injury ones. Tad has secured millions of dollars in settlements on behalf of his clients during his 20-year legal career.

In addition to this year being Tad’s 12th year of being included in the list, 2023 is his third year of being in the top 50 lawyers list for Kentucky.

Tad spends much of his time outside the courtroom advocating for consumers and their rights. He additionally presents on ethics, trial techniques, and other continuing legal education topics nationwide. Tad’s commitment to his clients and the profession has garnered him high recognition among his peers, which has been instrumental in being named to the Super Lawyers list multiple times and in his appointment as President of the American Association for Justice.

Attorney Leslie Pescia graduated with high honors from Faulkner University’s College of Law. Before joining Thomas Law Offices, she worked for a national plaintiff’s law firm, where her lawyering was instrumental in helping her clients who’d been victimized by consumer fraud secure a record-breaking single-case settlement. Leslie has additionally worked on class action, whistleblower, antitrust, and other complex litigation cases, which has resulted in her securing hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients.

Kevin Weis studied at University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law. He graduated in 1999. After passing the bar exam, he was admitted to legal practice in 1999. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Kentucky and occasionally obtains admission in other court jurisdictions for select cases.
