The Law Office of Mike Campbell has joined forces with Thomas Law Offices as of September 1st, 2020. Click here for details.

Trial lawyer and co-founder of Lawyer Minds, Mike Campbell interviewed about myriad aspects of his profession. He spoke on preparation, the importance of trial lawyers and their benefits to society, and also shared insight to the struggles he overcame when he first began practicing and how those experiences have shaped his career.

As a dedicated lawyer, Campbell is always striving to learn more and find ways to improve. He uses this information to create strategies and implement them for his clients in the courtroom. He also noted the importance of having the fortitude to forge ahead through fear or nerves, even if there are moments of shakiness or stuttering. Sharing a personal anecdote where a judge informed him his voir dire was all wrong, Campbell said that while he felt paralyzed, he realized he had a decision to make: to sit down or to keep asking questions and move forward.

Most trial lawyers will likely be able to relate to a story like this. They may have stumbled over their words in a courtroom or have had moments where they had to control their nerves while presenting a case. Beginner trial lawyers who may be experiencing these feelings can see that nearly every lawyer has to work through these moments—as these are the ones where trial lawyers gain experience and grit.

By interviewing lawyers like Mike Campbell, Lawyer Minds is providing an environment where trial lawyers can come together to share experiences, insight, and to help lift the legal community. The opportunity to create this resource for trial lawyers is something everyone can benefit from. Whether it’s passing on wisdom, sharing new perspectives, or forging new connections, Lawyer Minds is dedicated to providing creative, engaging content from lawyers, for lawyers.
