Thomas Law Offices is proud to be one of 2017’s sponsors for the Animal Care Society’s Animal Care Society Benefit Bash. The event will be held this coming Saturday, March 25th, at 6 PM EST at the Mellwood Art Center. Our law firm will be attending and helping raise funds for the Animal Care Society– Louisville’s first animal shelter and adoption agency that operates with a zero-kill animal policy.
The Animal Care Society was founded in 1984 and is a non-profit no-kill adoption agency for dogs and cats. In the last ten years alone, the organization has found homes for over 8,000 pets. Their mission is to provide responsible and humane treatment for the agency’s cat and dog guests until forever homes can be found. The organization is privately funded and and is supported financially through subscription memberships, donations, adoption fees, and events like the Animal Care Society Benefit Bash.
This is a summary of the Animal Care Society’s core values:
-
Compassion
We provide every furry guest our devoted attention and humane care in a no-kill environment.
Integrity
We believe in our no kill mission. Each animal receives optimal available medical and other care necessary for its adoption into a responsible home.
Animals are not euthanized except in the rare instance where a dog or cat has an incurable and untreatable condition and euthanasia is the most humane outcome.
Dignity
Every person and animal we serve receives respect and appreciation.
Dedication
ACS has been a steadfast advocate of its no-kill mission for more than 27 years.
Membership and Volunteerism
We rely heavily on members and volunteers to complete our mission. Our members provide much needed financial support. Our volunteers play a key role in the day-to-day care of our animals and enjoy the warmth and affection that only our furry guests can provide. Our animals make membership and volunteering with ACS a meaningful experience.
Thomas Law Offices believes in giving back to the Louisville community however we can, and we’re honored to be a part of this event and to be able to help the Animal Care Society continue to save, protect, and find loving, forever homes for Louisville dogs and cats.
