Statement on Fundraising

Protecting access to the Seventh Amendment is of the utmost importance to AAJ and our clients. AAJ stands strong against those interests which seek to strip our clients of this fundamental right. Not only is it unfair and unjust to limit our clients’ constitutional rights, it also has a significant and detrimental impact on our practices. Fundraising for like-minded and committed political candidates, regardless of party affiliation, is, therefore, vital. AAJ remains committed, as do I, to defending Americans’ constitutional right to a jury trial.

I am and have been a committed fundraiser for this organization. I am an Eagle member of the AAJ PAC, and, as a result of my encouragement, every member of my law firm is a donor as well. Even as an independent solo practitioner, I was a member of the Leaders Forum. As my firm expanded, I made it my mission to ensure that every associate that joined me became an AAJ member on day one.

My commitment to fundraising does not end with the PAC. I was appointed to, and serve on the Evergreen Advisory Committee and have been actively working to get new Evergreen donors since the program’s inception. My firm has donated to Evergreen and has made pledges on future cases as well. As an appointed Chair of the President’s Club Sub-Committee of the AAJ Membership Oversight Committee, I have been working hard to identify and recruit new President’s Club and Leaders Forum members. In the last year alone I have raised tens of thousands of dollars for candidates and AAJ programs.

It is a privilege to work on behalf of a principled organization like AAJ, and I look forward to doing more in the years ahead. Its mission inspires me and is essential to promoting the best interests of my clients. I could not be prouder to be a member and have the opportunity to contribute to its growth and continued success.
