Thomas Law Offices Expands Louisville Practice to Include Family Law and Estate Planning
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Thomas Law Offices today announced the expansion of its Louisville office into divorce, family law and estate planning, broadening the firm’s services to help clients navigate some of the most consequential legal and financial decisions of their lives.
The expansion includes the addition of Shawn Cantley as Partner, an accomplished Louisville attorney whose career spans more than two decades of complex litigation, business ownership and entrepreneurship. Cantley will lead the firm’s Divorce & Family Law practice group, with a particular focus on high-asset and high-stakes divorce matters involving businesses, substantial assets, complex financial interests and other significant considerations.

Cantley began his legal career after graduating with honors from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2002, joining Stites & Harbison, one of Kentucky’s largest corporate defense firms. He later co-founded a law firm, where he litigated complex, high-stakes civil cases while pursuing entrepreneurial ventures of his own.
Over the course of his career, Cantley has co-founded and owned businesses in the hospitality, real estate and healthcare industries. That experience gives him a practical understanding of the issues that can make high-asset divorce particularly complex, including business ownership and valuation, financing, real estate, contracts, cash flow, negotiations and risk.
