Based in Louisville and practicing throughout Kentucky and Ohio, Nick’s focus is on complex litigation. Since graduating law school in 2005, his practice has been centered in the courtroom. He first represented underserved people as a public defender and was recognized for his advocacy and trial skills. He then became a partner in a boutique litigation firm representing medical professionals, gaining invaluable experience deposing doctors and experts across the country, and winning jury trials in state and federal courts.

Always learning and growing, Nick is a proud member of the American Association for Justice, Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Justice Association, the Ohio Association for Justice, and a past member of the Brandeis chapter of the American Inns of Court.

In addition to his legal practice, Nick coaches cross country and track. His wife, Becca, is a proud elementary school principal, and they are parents to children in middle and high school. Their family enjoys the arts, traveling, and spending time at the lake.

Tad Thomas

Managing Partner

Tad Thomas has dedicated his practice to representing plaintiffs in various types of civil litigation, including personal injury, business litigation, class actions, and multi-district litigation.

After graduating with his law degree in 2000 from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, Mr. Thomas immediately opened his own private practice and began representing injury victims.

In 2011, Thomas Law Offices was established in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the past decade, Mr. Thomas has expanded his firm and now has offices in three additional locations: Cincinnati, Ohio, Columbia, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois. He is also a frequent lecturer on topics like trial skills and ethics and technology.
