Cameryn Gonnella
Overview
Cameryn is originally from Virginia and graduated early from George Mason University with a double major Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies and Political Communication. She moved to Kentucky in 2022 to attend University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, and currently lives just outside of Bardstown, Kentucky with her husband, two dogs, and one senior cat. Prior to law school, she worked in digital privacy compliance.
While in law school, Cameryn interned for the Department of Public Advocacy in various branches, including with the Kentucky Innocence Project and Post-Conviction Branch. Cameryn began working at Thomas Law Offices as a law clerk during her first year of law school and immediately fell in love with plaintiffs’ work. She finds the practice of representing individual people and helping them navigate a difficult time in their lives incredibly fulfilling. Cameryn was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in September 2025. Her areas of practice span a wide range of civil litigation cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, premises liability, and motor vehicle accidents, among others.
Cameryn currently serves as a Citizen’s Foster Care Review Board volunteer appointed by the Administrative Office of the Courts and reviews foster care placements in Jefferson County, Kentucky. She is a regular attendee of the Nelson County Public Library’s book club “Books on Tap,” and likes gardening or walking her dogs in her spare time.
