Kentucky Attorney General Moves to Protect Residents at an Eastern Kentucky Nursing Home

Published on Jun 13, 2011 at 12:59 pm in Nursing Home Abuse.

Elder abuse comes in many forms. Sometimes it is physical and sometimes it is financial. Last week, a Letcher County Judge moved to protect the residents of the Golden Years Rest Home when he issued a temporary restraining order preventing the home from selling any of its assets. In his order, the judge found that the personal funds of many of the nursing home’s residents were stolen and that the home continues to act in a manner harmful to its residents despite a number of civil administrative and criminal proceedings. Last year, the Attorney General’s office obtained the indictment of its former administrator on 74 counts for theft of over $500,000 in state and federal funds.

Whether your loved one has suffered from physical or financial abuse at the hands of a nursing home and/or its staff in Kentucky, you should seek the assistance of an experienced nursing home abuse attorney in Louisville.
