Judge Allows Case to Proceed in Louisville Old National Bank Mass Shooting Lawsuit

Thomas Law Offices, alongside co-counsel from Everytown Law, Romanucci & Blandin, and The Poppe Law Firm, secured an important pre-trial victory in their case seeking to hold River City Firearms, Magpul Industries, and RSR Group accountable for their role in the tragedy.

What Is the Status of the Old National Bank Mass Shooting Lawsuit?

The plaintiffs allege that River City irresponsibly provided an assault weapon and deadly accessories to a person unfit to possess them, while Magpul Industries and RSR Group were negligent in marketing and distributing those accessories.

This ruling allows the case to move forward against all defendants, including the gun dealer and accessory manufacturers whose conduct contributed to this preventable tragedy.

“That Monday morning, many families lost loved ones, and other members of our Louisville community suffered lifelong injuries,” said Tad Thomas, managing partner at the Thomas Law Offices. “The court’s decision today puts us one step closer to holding the wrongdoers responsible for the tragedy they caused and making Louisville a safer place to live.”

Tad Thomas has dedicated his practice to representing plaintiffs in various types of civil litigation, including personal injury, business litigation, class actions, and multi-district litigation.

After graduating with his law degree in 2000 from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, Mr. Thomas immediately opened his own private practice and began representing injury victims.

In 2011, Thomas Law Offices was established in Louisville, Kentucky. Over the past decade, Mr. Thomas has expanded his firm and now has offices in three additional locations: Cincinnati, Ohio, Columbia, Missouri, and Chicago, Illinois.
