Commonwealth Tap’s hip atmosphere comes from soft lighting and an intimate setting. You can sit at the high round tables or sit at the bar. Various bourbons, wines, and giant chalkboards with the myriad drinks listed cover the walls. They offer outdoor seating options as well, which is perfect for balmy evenings.

The most impressive part of Commonwealth Tap is the bourbon shelf, which looks like a bookcase stocked with every type of bourbon you could want. Its five tall shelves are filled with all different kinds of bourbon. And don’t let the selection intimidate you – the friendly staff are always ready to make a recommendation.

Not a bourbon fan? Don’t worry, there is plenty of wine and beer to go around. Select a bottle from their Wall of Awesomeness or choose from their beers on tap. They even pair Girl Scout Cookies and wine when they’re in season. Commonwealth Tap is fantastic for groups who have different tastes because everyone can get something they like.

Another thing to know about the Commonwealth Tap is that they don’t serve food. But that’s no cause for alarm, because they have an interesting solution. For those going to the Commonwealth Tap on certain nights, there’s usually a food truck parked in front of the bar in the evening. One truck is the Taco Luchador. You can get a delicious Mexican food right along with your drink.
