Though a dog bite may not be the first thing one thinks about in regards to suffering a personal injury, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that about 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year, showing that it is a serious problem.
Of all dog attack victims, approximately one in five requires medical treatment for dog bite-related injuries.
The age group with the highest risk for suffering from dog bite-related injuries is children ages five to nine years old, so families with canines or who simply go out for a neighborhood stroll, safety is of the utmost importance to prevent a dangerous attack.
